"Hey ya, sorry I was pissed when we went to the movie. The guy I was sorta with was being an ass that day. Men, ugh."

First rule, people: let it be known that you are not available before going out with someone that might harbor interest in you. This stays true regardless of what everyone's gender involved.

You have a bed warmer? Tell your 'friend' that went on a one-on-one 'hangout' with you that. Especially if your bed warmer is never in the picture, thus there is no way they would know that. Or if you are not interested in them romantically.

There are ways to subtly do this. "That's great! My fucktoy hate scary movies, so having someone to go with is fun!" You don't have to go full frontal with "I have a partner" or "I don't swing that way."

Some will feel offended, of course. "Do you really think you are that attractive that I actually want you??" Some, and this is important, will be glad they don't have to waste their time on someone who is not ready to be with them.

"But it's just a fucktoy, nothing serious." Well don't get mad when people got hurt or accusing you of friendzone because you deliberately leading them. It is a kinda selfish thing to do. You can't have your Kate and Edith too.

I can't stress enough how important it is to care and considered about other people's feeling. It won't take that much from us.
